About Study Centre 

To cater the needs of the students in this remote and backward region, Dr. S.R.K. Government Arts College stated the study centre in its campus after the college hours to assist the students and youth of the Yanam region in the preparation for the competitive examinations both in terms of employment and higher studies.

In order to have better student progression report in terms of employment and higher education, faculty of various departments contribute to the study centre after college hours as career counsellors, tutors, lecturers and facilitators.

As part of social responsibility, Study Centre was inaugurated on 5th October, 2018 by the Mr. Malladi Krishna Rao, Honourable Minister for Health and Tourism, Govt. of Puducherry to guide the candidates of the college and even outsiders preparing for the various competitive examinations to be held by Union and State Government departments. Faculty members even decided to provide guidance to students appearing for various entrance examinations for Post Graduate Programmes in various National and regional intuitions and universities.

Aims & Objectives:

  •  To motivate students for prospective career in Government and Corporate Sector.
  •  The main objective is to make available a platform, for aspirants of UPSC, State Services, and other     competitive examinations, where they can get all the help and guidance they need.
  • To provide guidance in various examinations such as SET/ NET, Defence services, Banks, Railways, Public sectors and corporate etc.
  • To guide students for Group Discussion and Interviews.
  • To build among students a sense of awareness, provide guidance, necessary literature, brochure, and other information about various competitive examinations.
  • To conduct career development seminars and workshops on competitive exams.
  •  To conduct mock interviews and train students in personality development and communication skills.
  • Providing comprehensive and quality study material, Special reference books for competitive exams are being provided to students in central library.
  • Magazines & Journals about competitive exams are being provided to the student for reading in the reading room of central library.
  • National, State & Local newspapers are being provided to the student for reading in the reading room of central library for making them aware about current knowledge.
